Gary Lineker has given his verdict on Liverpool’s Premier League draw with Burnley today as well as Andrew Robertson’s impressive opener for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.
Liverpool hosted the Clarets at Anfield and got off to a great start with plenty of chances coming their way, though they were up against a tough defence and inspired goalkeeper in Nick Pope.
The hosts did eventually manage to break the deadlock in the 34th minute, Robertson finding the back of the net with a superb drilled header from Fabinho’s equally great delivery.

However, the Reds couldn’t race further ahead, with Clarets stopper Pope in inspired form, and the visitors were eventually able to pull level through Jay Rodriguez’s shot on the turn.
Burnley could have even won it late on, an 87th-minute corner kick falling to Johann Berg Gudmundsson, who struck the woodwork with his effort just minutes after bringing Robertson down in the box.
In the end, the points were shared, Sean Dyche’s side becoming the first team this season to take points off Liverpool on their own patch.

Both Liverpool and Burnley are back in action on Wednesday, the Reds facing Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium and the Clarets hosting Wolves.
