Gary Lineker has been discussing Tottenham’s summer transfer business and feels that they haven’t quite strengthened enough.
Tanguy Ndombele has arrived as a big midfield signing from Lyon, while Jack Clarke joined from Leeds United before returning to the Championship club on loan for the season.
But reports now suggest that Spurs could complete a double raid on deadline day to boost their squad.
According to the Telegraph, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are “closing in” on deals for Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon and Real Betis ace Giovani Lo Celso.
It is understood that Spurs are close to agreeing a £20million deal plus Josh Onomah for Fulham winger Sessegnon.
The report also explains that Spurs have made a new offer in the region of £55million for midfielder Lo Celso and are hopeful of securing a deal.
“They’ve got the new stadium and that’s brilliant, but you need a team to fill it. They’ve brought one or two in, but it’s probably not quite as much as they need,” Lineker told talkSPORT.
“There’s a few days left and Levy is notorious for leaving it late, so we’ll see.”

It looks like Lineker will get his wish with Spurs bringing in a couple of faces late in the window, something that should give their squad a major lift.
Sessegnon, 19, is a left-footed winger that has a lot of potential to grow under Pochettino and he’s also got the versatility to drop in at full-back.
A switch to North London looks like a perfect fit on paper and should help him take the next step in his game.
Argentinian midfielder Lo Celso would be a real marquee addition for Spurs to wrap up and add some creative flair behind striker Harry Kane.
