Gary Cahill has lauded the intensity of Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte, who he worked with at Chelsea.
Cahill has just taken the decision to retire from professional football, having won two Premier League titles in a hugely successful career.
In an interview with Sky Sports, he was asked about Conte and the other manager he won the title working under Jose Mourinho.
Of course, Mourinho is familiar to Spurs fans too, although his time in north London did not end in success or even a trophy.

Cahill on Conte
Cahill said of Mourinho and Conte: “(I have) good memories working with both.
“I think both very, very intense. I’ve said in the past I think one season is like having three seasons with these guys.
“The intensity levels, what they’re demanding in training and games.
“Different personalities but similar in some aspects of their coaching and the detail and how they adapt to the different opposition you play against, hence why they are so, so successful.”
Cahill’s comments give an insight into what the Spurs players are facing now, and also what they faced up to under Mourinho.
Conte is relentless and even though Spurs have not been at their best in terms of performances yet this season, they have got great fitness and a never-say-die attitude.
Will that end in a trophy for Tottenham? That is the aim, but they are already out of the EFL Cup, losing to Nottingham Forest, and they were eliminated from last season’s FA Cup under Conte by Championship outfit Middlesbrough.
