Now, he’s proving his worth and at 23-years-old he should continue improving.

Alexander-Arnold already has nine assists in all competitions this season and that is pretty astonishing for a right-back.

Crooks had some firm praise for the youngster after his weekend heroics; naming the England player in his Team of the Week.

He told BBC Sport: “This was another superb display of precision passing from Trent Alexander-Arnold.

“He produced two assists on this occasion against Arsenal and they will join a long list of assists for the full-back since his arrival on the Anfield scene.

“The England player has provided Liverpool with an extra dimension. Any set piece around the box presents a major issue for the opposition.

“The quality of ball is so good it provides a problem for the goalkeeper or the defence and, in most cases, both.”

Integral: Alexander-Arnold vital to Liverpool this season

Liverpool don’t have too much in reserve when it comes to right-back and certainly nobody as capable as Alexander-Arnold when it comes to his passing radar.

As a result, keeping him fit for the bigger games in the Premier League and Champions League will be a paramount task for Liverpool boss Klopp.

He was sensational once again for the former champions against Arsenal. His deliveries caused mayhem time after time to the Gunners back four.

Alexander-Arnold has fielded some unfair criticism in recent months but those who doubted him now have egg firmly on their faces.
