'Invaluable': BBC pundit lauds Tottenham man who brings a 'touch of quality' for Antonio Conte

Garth Crooks has picked Tottenham’s Dejan Kulusevski in his latest of the the week after his scintillating second half display versus Leeds.

Kulusevski was absolutely key for Tottenham as they fought back. With Leeds looking like they’d got the game won, Kulusevski turned on the style to set up Rodrigo Bentancur for a late winner.

Antonio Conte has been delighted to welcome Kulusevski back in recent games. The Swedish star had missed a number of key games and his loss had been felt.

And including him in his latest team of the week for the BBC, Crooks believes the Swedish winger is now an ‘invaluable’ player for Tottenham.

“The return of Dejan Kulusevski to the starting line-up after injury has given the team a touch of quality in the most important areas. The 22-year-old Swedish international set up two superb goals as he continues to prove to be an invaluable addition to a very unconvincing Tottenham team at the moment,” Crooks wrote.

Kulusevski is one of the Spurs players who is not heading to the World Cup. For Conte, this is a bonus as he’ll be able to work with ‘Deki’ to get him up to full speed.

TBR’s View: Kulusevski one of Tottenham’s best recent signings

For a young player like Kulusevski to move to England and do so well is great news for Spurs. Kulusevski has been nothing short of brilliant ever since he signed.

The Swedish winger will be loving being back on the pitch. You could see from the winning goal just how much he loves laying on goals for his teammates. And for players like Harry Kane, that will be great to see.

As it stands, Kulusevski is looking like one of Tottenham’s best signings in recent times. If he keeps doing as he is, and gets even better, Spurs have a potentially world-class player on their hands.
