Garth Crooks has been writing about Jurgen Klopp after Liverpool recorded a 4-1 win on Saturday, and he is not best pleased.

The 65-year-old made the comments in his Team of the Week segment for BBC Sport.

So, what was written about Jurgen Klopp after Liverpool‘s win? Let’s take a look…

Jurgen Klopp criticised

Well, the man from Bucknall has called for the German to stop putting his hands to his head every time a Liverpool player finds themselves involved in a tackle.

Crooks wrote: “It’s no use Jurgen Klopp putting his hands on his head every time one of his players goes into a tackle. Curtis Jones, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez all came off with injuries in Liverpool’s 4-1 demolition of Brentford but that’s football.

“Expecting a footballer not to pick up knocks is like expecting a chef never to cut his finger. This wasn’t a dirty match full of pernicious tackles but a full-blooded Premier League fixture.”

Now, this is quite a strange thing to become annoyed about.

Jurgen Klopp is entitled to worry at Liverpool

Klopp was clearly anxious about losing any more players to the treatment table – especially with the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea approaching on Sunday.

Therefore, the 56-year-old is understandably on edge whenever a Liverpool player finds themselves involved in a physical battle.

Klopp was particularly enraged after Sergio Reguilon flew into a challenge on Conor Bradley, and he had every right to be frustrated having already lost Jones and Jota by that stage in the game.

The duo join Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker, Thiago Alcantara and Dominik Szoboszlai in the treatment room, with Nunez also a doubt for Sunday’s clash against Chelsea.

Therefore, you can see why Klopp is visibly anxious in the dugout, as he fears losing more key players to injuries.
