Garth Crooks has told BBC Sport that he believes Declan Rice gets better with every game as he named the West Ham midfielder in his Team of the Week for his display against Everton.
The Hammers took the three points against the Toffees at Goodison Park. Angelo Ogbonna scored the only goal late on following a Jarrod Bowen corner.

But Rice seemed to steal the show. David Moyes claimed that he was head and shoulders above every player on the pitch on Merseyside.
And Crooks has suggested that the 22-year-old is indeed improving every time he steps out onto the pitch. He did suggest that keeping him at the London Stadium is going to be a tough challenge for the Irons.

“He gets better with every game. He seems to cover more ground than anyone in his team and you can guarantee 100% effort every week,” he told BBC Sport.
“West Ham fans won’t like me for saying this but how long can the East London club hold onto him? This lad should be playing Champions League football. It’s only a matter of time.”
West Ham fans have always been realistic about their chances of keeping Declan Rice
It is scary to see how well Rice is playing at his current age. He could potentially keep improving for years to come.
With that in mind, West Ham fans have always known that it would not be easy to keep him.
However, they continue to impress. They are now in the Europa League and once again look to be in good shape for a top-half spot in the Premier League.
At some stage, the rumours surrounding Rice will intensify. But while West Ham continue to make progress, it is surely fair to say that he is in the right place for his development.
With Rice in their midfield, Moyes’s men can certainly set their sights on another fantastic season.
