BBC Sport pundit Garth Crooks has been discussing his former club Tottenham Hotspur after they started the Jose Mourinho era with a 3-2 win over West Ham United.
It was a blistering performance for the first hour that did the damage for Tottenham, with Dele Alli in particular on top form.
Whilst Crooks had plenty to say about Alli in his ‘Team of the Week’ article, he also had plenty of praise for Heung-min Son and Tottenham’s front-three, with Lucas Moura and Harry Kane completing the trio.

Crooks believes that under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, the trio can become as potent a threat as Jurgen Klopp’s famed Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane trident at Liverpool.
“Mourinho’s decision to play Son alongside Harry Kane, Moura and Alli away at the London Stadium proved fatal for the Hammers.
“It’s still very early days but Son, Kane and Moura could do for Spurs under Mourinho what Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah have done for Liverpool.”
TBR’s View
Tottenham will certainly hope as much. The Liverpool front-three has become one of the most feared attacking units in world football.
There is no doubt that Tottenham’s potential trio do possess the ability to perhaps match that level.
But whether Mourinho is the right man to bring that sort of flow to the Tottenham attack will have to remain to be seen.
