BBC Sport pundit named Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in his Team of the Week and claimed the Gunners wouldn’t have defeated Everton without him.
The Gabonese striker scored twice to ensure victory for Arsenal over the Toffees, taking his tally for the 2019/20 campaign to 19 goals.
Aubameyang’s future could become unclear during the summer. The striker will have just a year left on his £200,000-a-week contract, with Barcelona keen on the player (Telegraph).

Crooks thought the Arsenal man was brilliant and proved the catalyst for the win.
He told BBC Sport: “This was a significant performance by Arsenal, but they would never have achieved the win against Everton without Aubameyang.
“It wasn’t just his ability to put the ball in the back of the net that was so impressive, but his work-rate is quite phenomenal.”
Losing Aubameyang would be catastrophic for Arsenal. He is clearly the main source of goals and is thriving on the added attacking intent in Mikel Arteta’s team.
Future
The club would surely love to tie him to a new contract but with Champions League football likely to be sought by the player that might prove tricky.
Without European football keeping hold of their prized asset could be tricky. Arsenal would love to continue their current good form until the end of the season; convincing Aubameyang to buy into Arteta’s project.

Crooks cited Aubameyang’s all-round game and he is definitely thriving in an Arsenal team currently brimming with confidence.
The Gunners will hope Aubameyang can stay in form between now and the end of the season.
Arteta might see the Europa League as the trophy to win this season.
If the Gunners were to win that and return to the Champions League; their prospects of keeping Aubameyang would definitely be higher.
