England manager Gareth Southgate was full of compliments for his captain Harry Kane after he continued his hot international scoring form in the 7-0 win over Montenegro at Wembley last night.
As per the Daily Mirror, Southgate was keen to praise his striker’s playmaking qualities as well as his ability in front of goal.
He said: “He’s an incredible goalscorer, that’s the obvious part of his game, but he’s a number 9 that can play and link as an outstanding number 10 as well.
“So, not only does he lead the line for us, providing the goal threat, he also provides opportunities for others and I’ve said before, what an unselfish player he is. But of course when those opportunities are there he’s absolutely ruthless.”

TBR’s View – Kane developing his game and becoming the complete striker for England
Tottenham are struggling and Kane has been thrust into the role of stand-in captain at a tricky time but for England, things couldn’t be going much better.
He links the play fantastically well, playing in his pacey forward colleagues as well as being absolutely clinical in front of goal when the chances come his way.
With him in the side, England always have a chance of winning games because Kane can turn games in the blink of an eye by being so lethal in front of goal.
