Gareth Southgate has told ITV Sport (24/11; 09:17) that Tottenham striker Harry Kane is good to go for England tomorrow.
The Three Lions have been sweating on the fitness of their talismanic striker all week but the captain is fine.
Kane was on the end of a robust challenge during England’s 6-2 win over Iran on Monday and has required a scan.
That has come back positive, although earlier reports of the problem being with his ankle are somewhat wide of the mark.

Southgate has been addressing the fitness of England’s star player ahead of tomorrow’s crucial game against the USA.
The Three Lions know that a win will see them progress to the last 16 of the World Cup with a group game spare.
Kane is fit and ready. Southgate has also moved to dismiss the notion that the 29-year-old suffered another knock on his problematic ankle.
The England boss told ITV Sport (24/11; 09:17): “He’s good, he’s worked a little more individually today and will be back in with the team tomorrow and good for the game.
“We checked him out just to see, it was important to know exactly what was there and it was all good.
“It’s not so much the ankle, it’s more the foot. It was a poor challenge really, but it’s one we got away with reasonably lightly.”
Southgate says Kane is good to go against the USA
This is tremendous news for England. Kane doesn’t just provide goals for his country but his link-up play is unrivalled in the squad.
If the Tottenham man doesn’t play, the team naturally loses something. They need Kane as that focal point and they will be happy he’s available.

England are full of confidence after Monday’s victory. The Three Lions now know that a win tomorrow will make life a lot easier against Wales in the group finale.
The update on Kane is just the ticket for England and hopefully, the Tottenham star can open his World Cup 2022 account tomorrow night.
