Unai Emery and Monchi have overseen a pretty incredible summer of business at Aston Villa, welcoming eight new significant signings.
If there was ever any doubt regarding the club’s ambition after returning to the Champions League, well they’ve provided a pretty empathic answer.
Emery’s plans have been backed, and other than 30-year-old Ross Barkley, Villa have signed a new core of youngsters, players who can help guarantee continued success.
To that end, Villa still haven’t given up on signing Joao Felix – who could still be the cherry of their impressive business this summer.
But with all these players arriving, Villa will still need to move squad members on before the transfer window closes in just over three weeks time.
Douglas Luiz and Moussa Diaby are the two high-profile departures in that regard thus far – a duo that will be missed.
However, two significant first-team exits doesn’t quite level out the amount of players who have arrived at Villa Park.
And to that end, it seems as if Turkish side Galatasaray will now test their luck to sign Lucas Digne on loan.
Galatasaray are now interested in taking Aston Villa defender Lucas Digne on loan
Digne played a significant role for Emery last season, dovetailing with Alex Moreno at left-back.
But since the impressive arrival of Ian Maatsen from Chelsea, it seems unlikely that Villa will be able to keep all three happy.

That being said, Footmercato are now reporting that Galatasaray are interested in signing Digne on loan, a 31-year-old who joined Villa for £25m.
The report suggests that the Turkish side would be interested in taking Digne for a solitary season – who currently has two-years remaining on his Villa contract.
Of course, such a move could be appealing to Villa too, who could clear some of Digne’s £120k-a-week wages off of their bill for a year.
Should he stay, ‘unbelievable’ Digne is definitely still capable of contributing domestically and in Europe, but as explained, Villa are well-stocked in his position right now.
All that being said, Villa may be about to hijack a deal for a striker who is a familiar name in the Premier League.
