Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus has vowed to end his goal drought by claiming that he’ll ‘100 per cent’ score against PSV Eindhoven in the Europa League today.

The Gunners need just one point to secure the top spot in their group. The game against PSV in the Netherlands this evening will not be an easy one, but Jesus is confident his side will be able to pick up a win.

Gabriel Jesus says he’ll definitely score for Arsenal against PSV today

Jesus has arguably been Arsenal’s best player since the start of the season.

The Gunners splashed £45 million (Goal) in the summer to sign the talented Brazilian from Manchester City, and he started off the campaign in truly fantastic style.

However, since scoring in the North London Derby at the start of this month, Jesus seems to have lost his shooting boots. It’s now five games in all competitions without a goal for the 25-year-old, and that has become a worry for a few Gunners supporters.

Jesus, branded as ‘amazing’ by Kieran Tierney (Daily Mail), has come out and claimed that he does not want to be in this situation. He promised to try and improve before claiming that he will definitely score against PSV today.

He said, as relayed on HaytersTV: “That has happened before and I’m pretty sure in the future, it is going to happen again. That’s football.

“I don’t want it to be like this, of course. I want to improve, I want to work, like always in my life, and then next game, I will try again.

“I’m 100 per cent sure I will score.”

If you’re just looking at the fact that Jesus hasn’t scored a goal in five games, you may feel it is a cause for concern.

However, the Brazilian is getting in the right areas of the pitch and his teammates are creating chances for him. He just needs to calm himself done and concentrate in the box, and the goals will naturally come back.

Even with his mini-drought, Jesus has five goals and five assists to his name in just 12 starts in all competitions this season. That is an amazing record, and he’s one of the biggest reasons why Arsenal are on top of the Premier League table.

If Jesus keeps his word and scores against PSV today, it will be his first-ever goal in the Europa League.
