Arsenal finally got their man this summer when it came to a striker as they managed to land Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.
The Gunners paid big money to sign the Brazilian striker and after giving him the number nine shirt, there is high hopes that the forward can take the club to the next level and ensure they do indeed get into that top four.
And in what has seemingly been the perfect start to Jesus’ career in north London, The Independent reports how the Brazilian has indeed blown coaching staff and teammates away with how he has been so far at the club. Writing in his weekly Reading the Game newsletter, Miguel Delaney explains how there is ‘real excitement’ around Gabriel Jesus within the club.

It’s reported how he has already had a huge influence on proceedings in pre-season, and that some at Arsenal feel that he has – in some way – been released from the shackles he was placed in at Manchester City.
Jesus is expected to become the main man for Arsenal this season in that number nine position. And with so much talent in attacking midfield positions around him, Jesus will be confident of hitting the goals.
TBR’s View: Gabriel Jesus Can Indeed Take Arsenal To New Heights
There is no doubt that Arsenal got this one right. Signing Jesus seems like the perfect signing from the Gunners and he fits the exact profile that was required.
The Brazilian knows the Premier League so well and to hear of his impact already is no surprise. That probably part stems from being at a winning club like City, where standards are so high and winning games is the norm.
If some of that rubs off on the Arsenal players, then Mikel Arteta will be more than delighted.
