Gabriel Agbonlahor says one Manchester City player has looked so 'much better' this season
Manchester City ace Gabriel Jesus has looked “much better this season”, according to Gabriel Agbonlahor.
The Brazil international has had a mixed time at the Etihad Stadium since joining in January 2017.
A metatarsal injury hampered Jesus’ first few months at City, but he weighed with seven goals and four assists from 11 Premier League games.
The following season, the 24-year-old claimed 13 goals and four assists in the league, en route to his first title with City.
Since then, Jesus hasn’t quite been as prolific as many thought and hoped he’d be, but this season, he’s got off to a flyer.
Playing on the right wing and alternating with Ferran Torres at centre-forward, Jesus has looked impressive.
He has one goal and two assists from his last two league games, he looks more confident, and the flair is certainly back.
Agbonlahor spoke highly of Jesus as he talked up City’s title credentials on talkSPORT.
“For me, it will be a straight fight between Chelsea and Manchester City for the title this season,” he said.
“Jack (Grealish) offers City a different dimension and gives their squad better quality.
“Yes, they could’ve done with another forward but Ferran Torres has shown that he’s a striker in the making.
“You’ve also got Gabriel Jesus who’s looked much better this season as well so I think City have had a decent window.”
