Tottenham Hotspur are desperately seeking a creative spark with the new Premier League campaign just over a week away.
James Maddison sustained an ACL injury in the pre-season clash against Newcastle United and is expected to miss the majority of the upcoming season.
Furthermore, Thomas Frank is still missing Dejan Kulusevski, as the Swede has not featured throughout pre-season preparations. Although his recovery is accelerating faster than anticipated, it is likely that Kulusevski will miss the opening fixtures.

Frank will be heading into the UEFA Super Cup clash against PSG on Wednesday, scrambling for options in the attacking department, with Dominic Solanke another notable absentee for the Lilywhites.
However, pundit and ex-Aston Villa man Gabriel Agbonlahor believes he has found the perfect transfer target for Tottenham to fill the void in the number 10 spot.
Gabriel Agbonlahor backs Jack Grealish to sign for Tottenham
TBR Football exclusively revealed Tottenham will prioritise a new attacking midfielder in the remaining weeks of the summer transfer window following the injury to Maddison.
Spurs failed to sign Morgan Gibbs-White after the 25-year-old penned a new deal at Nottingham Forest, but when speaking to talkSPORT, Agbonlahor implored Frank to pursue Manchester City outcast Jack Grealish.
“When you come through the academy at Villa and into the first team, he wasn’t off the left. He came through as a number 10 – go and play where you like, go and get on the ball. So comfortable with his back to goal, first touch, awareness around him – that number 10’s built for him.
“Obviously his time with Dean Smith – off the left especially in the Premier League when Barkley came in and maybe played in that central role – then Man City’s played him off the left and England as well. But one of the last games he played for his country, it was against Ireland away – Lee Carsley played him in that number 10 position.
“He was probably the best player on the pitch. He was twisting defenders up, he was running the length of the pitch with the ball, creating chances. Got a goal in that game – I’m sure he did as well.
“I would go to Spurs. I think staying in the Premier League – even though I do like players that try different leagues – but a team like Spurs that’s going to be playing Champions League football, it’s a no-brainer to stay in the Premier League.”
“Thomas Frank as well – I’m sure he’d love to have a player like Jack Grealish, the quality that he’s got.”
Tottenham could struggle to afford Jack Grealish
Tottenham have explored signing Grealish internally but ultimately opted against firming their interest due to the Englishman’s outlandish wages.
The 29-year-old is earning eye-watering money at the Citizens and would need to drastically lower his wage demands to make a potential move feasible.
Manchester City are now open to the possibility of sanctioning a season-long loan move, but TBR Football understands Everton are now leading the race to sign Grealish as things stand.

Although the Toffees appear to be his most viable destination, the allure of Champions League football would certainly give Spurs the edge should they choose to enter the frame for his signature.
Indeed, signing Grealish would be a downgrade on the current crop at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and Frank would need to be patient with the player, as his minutes were significantly limited last term.
Nevertheless, Spurs find themselves in a precarious situation, and Manchester City appear eager to offload Grealish from their books – this is certainly one for the fans to keep an eye on as we approach the deadline.
