‘Future Iniesta’: Some Arsenal fans want 18-year-old Hale End prodigy to feature at Brighton

A number of Arsenal fans have called on Gunners boss Mikel Arteta to give Miguel Azeez game time in their upcoming Premier League fixture.

The 18-year-old is one of the brightest players to have come through the Hale End setup in recent years, having joined the Gunners aged five.

Azeez is a dynamic midfielder equally adept as an anchorman as he is playing at No. 10, and is also viewed as a natural leader and captain material.

The youngster was playing for Arsenal’s Under-18s when he was 15 and didn’t look out of his depth, going on to captain the team by the time he was 17.

Azeez has not only made the step up to the Under-23s but is now in and around the first team, having debuted off the bench in this month’s Europa League win over Dundalk.

With Arsenal heading to Brighton for a 6pm Tuesday evening kickoff, some fans are hoping Azeez could feature, perhaps even as a replacement for Mohamed Elneny.
