Manchester City loaned Callum Doyle to Sunderland on Friday.
By Saturday, the Citizens academy ace had already become a fan favourite at the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland boss Lee Johnson gave Doyle his Black Cats debut in the pre-season friendly at Hearts.
Despite being just 17, the Manchester City loanee showed composure and class beyond his years.

Doyle was simply excellent defensively, didnโt put a foot wrong, and helped Sunderland record a clean sheet.
At the other end, Aiden McGeady helped himself to a brace.
The veteran opened the scoring from the penalty spot on 14 minutes and fired in a great finish on 41 minutes.
But so impressive was Doyle that the Sunderland Twitter page singled him out for praise.
And fans were just as impressed โ hereโs what they said in response:
Doyle was a key figure for his clubโs Under-23s last season, helping them win the Premier League 2 title.
He made 12 U23s appearances and also played in two EFL Trophy matches.
Doyle even helped Cityโs Under-18s win their league title, making 14 appearances for them.
