A selection of Leeds United fans have taken to social media to praise Diego Llorente for his most recent performances with the club following Saturday’s impressive 2-1 win over Manchester City.
The Spanish international sat down with the club’s official website to discuss the victory at the Etihad, as Marcelo Bielsa’s side claimed all three points against the Premier League leaders despite having only two shots on target and playing the entirety of the second half with just ten players.
Llorente, an £18m summer signing from Real Sociedad as reported by Leeds Live, played the full 90 minutes against City.
His latest comments on the club’s official website have seen plenty of Leeds supporters shower the centre-back with praise for his defiant performance against Pep Guardiola’s side, with the 27-year-old defender now an established starter for the club after struggling with injuries earlier in the season.
Here is what some Leeds fans had to say about Llorente’s comments on Twitter, with many supporters incredibly happy with how the defender has developed over the past few games…

All of a sudden, we don't look like we're gonna concede from every set piece. Thanks Diego!

A lot of credit should go to Bielsa for turning CB from the position people worried about the most to the most competitive position in the team in the space of a few months. Llorente has nailed down his 1st team place, but Koch could just as easily win it back. #lufc https://t.co/gzjIg0OCgd

Llorente only made two Premier League appearances in the first half of the campaign but, since recovering fully from injury, the former La Liga defender has started the past seven games for Leeds, keeping two clean sheets in the process.
