Leeds fans have taken to social media to praise Diego Llorente following Saturday’s impressive 2-1 win over Manchester City.

The Spanish international sat down with the club’s official website to discuss the victory at the Etihad.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side claimed all three points against the Premier League leaders. This is despite having only two shots on target and playing the entirety of the second half with just ten players.

Indeed, Llorente, an £18m summer signing from Real Sociedad as reported by Leeds Live, played the full 90 minutes against City.

His latest comments on the club’s official website have seen plenty of Leeds supporters shower the centre-back with praise for his defiant performance.

Indeed, the 27-year-old defender is now an established starter for the club after struggling with injuries earlier in the season.

Llorente only made two Premier League appearances in the first half of the campaign.
