'Future captain': Liverpool fans laud Andy Robertson for City performance
Liverpool and Manchester City played out a pulsating encounter at Anfield this afternoon as Mo Salah and Phil Foden lit up the Premier League once again.
Both players were in fine form for their respective clubs and Salah, in particular, played superbly well with a fine individual goal and an assist to add to his ever growing reputation.
The Reds were good value for the point the eventually won though in fairness, despite City playing well. Jurgen Klopp will no doubt be happy with the result, even it wasn’t the win he wanted.
And while Salah and Foden shone for both sides, Liverpool fans on social media were very impressed with the performance from the ever reliable Andy Robertson.
The fiery Scot put in yet another brilliant display and was his ever reliable self at left-back. He also contributed a lot going forward, with some fine bursts down the wing at times.
Twitter, then, was full of comments from Liverpool fans praising Robertson as the Reds drew 2-2 with Manchester City.
