Tottenham drew 2-2 with Everton at the weekend in what was one of the most frustrating games of the season for Spurs.
Everton produced a proper Sean Dyche performance on Saturday, they were largely dominated during the game, but two goals from two set pieces rescued a point for the Toffees.
As you can imagine, many associated with Tottenham were far from happy with the result at the weekend, and according to Alasdair Gold, Micky Van de Ven was particularly peeved.
Speaking on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast, the journalist spoke about his experience interviewing Van de Ven after the game, and he says that he got the distinct impression that the Dutchman was angry.

Van de Ven was angry
Gold spoke about the £35m man.
“I was about to say a bad word then, but he was annoyed, let’s put it that way, he was not in the best of spirits. He spoke very well. I’m not saying he had any attitude with me or anything, but he was furious about what had just occurred,” Gold said.
He cares
While the situation is less than ideal, it’s great to see that Van de Ven cares so much about Tottenham and their results.
Of course, in an ideal world, Van de Ven would be all smiles after every game revelling in a victory, but the fact that he cares so much about this result suggests he’ll be desperate to bounce back next time out.
For far too long, mediocrity was accepted at Tottenham and result like this weren’t scrutinised all that much, but now, the standards have been raised and failing to win against a team like Everton is seen as wholly unacceptable.
Van de Ven was fuming after this result, and hopefully, this anger spurs him on to put things right in the next game.
