Spurs fans have had their say on the Sky Sports report linking reported Tottenham target Weston McKennie with Burnley.

Spurs have been linked with the Juventus midfielder over the past few weeks.

Last week, ESPN reported that Tottenham are amongst those to have monitored McKennie recently.

Tuttomercatoweb then claimed that Spurs were especially keen on signing the United States international.

But on deadline day, Sky Sports reported on their transfer blog (31/8; 17:13) that Burnley had made contact with McKennie.

They claimed the Clarets had made an offer to sign the 23-year-old on loan.

Kaveh Solhekol subsequently suggested (31/8; 17:40) it was unlikely Juve would let him leave on loan just months after his loan from Schalke became permanent.

However, the report alarmed some Tottenham fans, who thought they should be getting a move on and moving for McKennie.

Here is some of the Spurs fan reaction:

McKennie joined Schalke’s academy in 2016, moving from the Dallas Academy.

He made 91 competitive senior appearances for the Gelsenkirchen club, registering five goals and seven assists.

McKennie then joined Juve on loan last summer and the Italians took up the option to make the deal permanent for a reported £18.5million.
