A hotly-contested race is forming for Chelsea defender Tomas Kalas ahead of the summer transfer window, according to the Sun.
They report that Kalas’s impressive performances for Bristol City this season have caught the attention of many clubs, including both Celtic and Rangers.
But Lee Johnson’s high-flying Robins are reportedly keen to retain the services of a defender Chelsea value at £5m in the summer market.
One side who are not named in the report but who could badly do with Kalas is Fulham, for whom the Czech played for during the 2016/17 season, when they just fell short of promotion in the play-offs, and 2017/18, when they were promoted to the top flight.

But having not got Kalas back in for either a third loan or a permanent deal, they have struggled so badly for defensive solidity in the Premier League as a ragtag defence has not developed any familiarity.
And as they look set for a swift return to the Championship, Kalas would be the ideal man to bring some discipline and organisation back to their top four.
A rebuild is needed but Fulham’s parachute payments should make the £5m asking price far more manageable than it is for either of the Scottish top two, and bringing in a player who has already been at the club should help minimize the upheaval.
