Fulham made an approach to sign one Arsenal midfielder at the start of the January transfer window, but a move currently looks to be highly unlikely this month.
Charlie Patino is making a really impressive impact out on loan at Swansea City. The 20-year-old has scored three goals and provided four assists in 22 second tier games. He has certainly kicked on after a mixed spell at Blackpool last year.
You would imagine that Arsenal have taken note of Patino’s performances. But it seems that the Gunners are not the only Premier League club with their eye on the youngster’s form.
Fulham approached Arsenal about Charlie Patino this month
According to a report from Football Transfers, Fulham registered an interest in signing Patino earlier in the window. However, Arsenal have no interest in allowing him to move to Craven Cottage this month.

The Gunners are set to let Patino see out the season with the Swans. A move this summer however, could happen with the pathway in front of the academy graduate in North London looking somewhat congested.
Midfielder could net Gunners a big fee in the summer
Patino appears to be coming through at the wrong time at Arsenal. Fans would have hoped that he would become a player Mikel Arteta would use more and more after his Carabao Cup appearance against Sunderland a couple of years ago.
However, Arsenal are title contenders in the Premier League. And they have real depth in the middle of the park, particularly in the number eight position with Kai Havertz coming in to rival the likes of Emile Smith Rowe and Fabio Vieira.
There were reports that Patino had been offered to Juventus. And with Fulham also keen, it shows that he is still seen to have ‘outstanding‘ potential.
Unfortunately for Arsenal fans hoping to see him make the grade, it appears that he may be more likely to net the club a sizeable transfer fee, rather than find himself in Arteta’s plans.
