Fulham fans react as Arsenal reportedly eye Tosin Adarabioyo
A number of Fulham fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Athletic linking Arsenal with Tosin Adarabioyo.
Of course, supporters of Scott Parker’s side would be forgiven for anticipating plenty of exits this summer. Despite battling superbly at times, Fulham were unable to keep themselves in the Premier League.
And one of those attracting interest is Tosin. The Athletic reports that Arsenal and Newcastle are monitoring the 23-year-old, who is open to the idea of leaving this summer.
Interestingly, the report claims that Tosin’s deal at Craven Cottage includes a buy-out clause. It is also noted that Mikel Arteta knows the youngster from his time working at Manchester City where Tosin came through the ranks.
Ultimately, Fulham will be playing in the Championship next year. But the partnership Tosin formed with Joachim Andersen proved a key reason why their relegation was not confirmed a lot sooner.
Tosin proved to be a hugely impressive signing. And that is why plenty of Fulham fans are hoping that he may choose to stick around for one more year.
‘This was coming’
Some actually think that he would benefit from another year with Parker’s men. They obviously feel that he has a little more developing to do before he is ready to move on.
But others are worried that he could leave. It will encourage supporters of both Arsenal and Newcastle that Fulham fans would deem Tosin leaving a real blow.
With that in mind, here is how some of the supporters have reacted to the reports…
Shame, really. Tosin wasn’t the best at PL level but would’ve been a championship monster. Bit like Anguissa 18/19.

Potentially biased, but personally I’m not sure it would be the right move. He’s been good, but think a season in the championship for Fulham becoming the cornerstone of our defence could be good for him. Would understand if he left next Summer if we didn’t get promoted.

He was part of a team that took us down. Imo he owes it to us to stay to help us back up. I say that in the full awareness that loyalty in football is not much of a thing these days. Nevertheless I stick by my opinion.

Losing Tosin would be an absolute disaster. He’s been the ideal signing in the sense he’s young, English & can play in both divisions. We should be building the team around Robinson, Tosin, Rodak – those who can improve.

Tosin won’t be cheap but I’d be shocked & disappointed if he left tbh

Obvious this was coming. Dm how much they are ‘settled’. if Prem teams come in for them, they’re off. Think we’ll hang on to either Reed or Tosin. I know who I’d prefer https://t.co/0LjVXPn6PO
