Fulham enhanced their chances of Premier League survival with a brilliant 2-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park. After the game, Harrison Reed came in for some praise following a strong midfield showing.

The Cottagers have closed the gap to Newcastle in 17th to seven points and although they still face a fight for survival, this result will give them a positive boost.

Fulham were excellent throughout the contest, showcasing plenty of quality, desire and a lot of heart. Boss Scott Parker will have been pleased with what he saw – particularly from Reed.

The 26-year-old arrived permanently from Southampton during the summer, having spent last season on loan at Craven Cottage. He has played 19 times this season, starting 15 games in Parker’s engine room.

Last night, Reed was mesmerising and although it was Josh Maja’s double which secured the three points, it was Reed who came in for plenty of praise afterwards.

The 26-year-old earns £24,000-a-week at Craven Cottage and is proving to be an instrumental part of Parker’s squad.

Fulham fans haven’t had a lot to shout about this season but beating Everton in their own back yard has certainly lifted the spirits.

Here is what supporters were saying about the performance of Reed after last night’s Premier League contest.
