Leeds United are interested in the signature of Luke Freeman, according to reports. London Football News is suggesting that Leeds are ready to make a bid for the QPR player of the season in the weeks to come.
Freeman has been linked to Leeds in the past and based on his excellent performances against the club last season fans would certainly welcome his arrival.
The player has previously spoken about Leeds in the media and this week he has done so again. In conversation with World Football Index, the midfielder was asked who he thought was the best team he played against in the Championship last season.
“It has been a bit of a funny season in all honesty. You can play some really good teams on their day, but I would definitely say it has been Leeds United and Norwich City.
“I think back to playing Leeds United at Elland Road in the middle of the season, and they were excellent.
Three months ago we played them at Loftus Road and we ended up beating them 1-0, of course they are still a good team. I would definitely say that Leeds and Sheffield United on their day have been difficult to play against.”
Freeman is clearly a big fan of the way Leeds play and, therefore, it is not far-fetched to suggest that a move to Elland Road would appeal to the player.
There has been little movement on the reports linking Freeman to Leeds this week. The club appears to be in a form of limbo regarding the takeover talk from Qatar and until that is sorted, either way, incoming players might be on the back-burner.
But should they move for Freeman, they will be swooping in on a big fan of the team’s current style of play.
