Everton youngster Fraser Hornby is set to head out on loan this season. The Scotland under-21 star is seemingly on his way to Belgium to play his football in 2019-20.

As reported by Het Nieuwsblad yesterday, the 19-year-old is all set to join KV Kortrijk on a season-long loan deal in the days to come. Sven Claes, a journalist at Het Belang van Limburg, has suggested the deal will include an option for the Belgian side to buy the player.

Hornby has long been a player that Everton fans rate highly. He has been in fine form with the Everton under-23s in recent months but his form at international level has perhaps garnered more attention.

Hornby scored five goals in two qualifiers for the 2019 UEFA Under-21 Championships as Scotland missed out on a place at the finals.

Now might be the perfect time for the bullish Scot to prove himself at first-team level.

However, Everton fans will be hoping that the option to buy report is inaccurate. Many feel the 19-year-old has a chance of becoming a star at Goodison Park. So seeing him leave permanently might not be universally welcomed.
