Everton certainly have some talented young players coming through the ranks. Some are just now starting to knock on the first-team door and Everton fans can be excited.

But one whose name is continuously popping up at present is Fraser Hornby.

It is easy to understand why. The Scottish striker has been in fine form recently. His antics with his national team, in particular, have been fantastic, although a slight distraction from his Everton displays.

His form is certainly picking up and comparisons with Everton legend Duncan Ferguson certainly help the hype.

But if there is one player Hornby is like in the Premier League today, it is Tottenham Hotspur and England star Harry Kane.

Strong physically, deceptively quick and devastating in front of goal. Hornby carries himself with the same confidence an in-form Kane does. Happy to shoot from anywhere and on either foot, he also has wonderful vision and passing. Hornby started his career as a central midfielder until his physicality owed more to being a centre-forward, hence his technical proficiency.

Tottenham have benefitted massively from having Kane come through their ranks. He has become their most potent threat and a Premier League star.

In Hornby, Everton might have their very own Harry Kane. Hopefully, he can be utilised correctly.
