The Euro 2024 knock-out stages are in full swing and the tension is increasing as more teams are starting to be sent home.
Monday will be the halfway point of the round of 16 and will include the match of the round as France take on Belgium in a bout that will see one of the tournament’s big-hitters eliminated.
Afterwards, Portugal will be hoping to make it to the quarter-finals but will have to surpass a spirited Slovenia that held England to a goalless draw in their final group game.

There are two matches in the last 16 on Monday.
- France vs Belgium – Merkur Spiel-Arena, Dusseldorf
- Portugal vs Slovenia – Deutsche Bank Park, Frankfurt

Both France and Belgium have underwhelmed at Euro 2024 and failed to win their groups but Dominic Tedesco’s side have been particularly bad.
The Red Devils lost their first game against Slovakia, edged past Romania and could only draw with Ukraine, meaning they finished second.
France also finished second after being held to draws by Poland and Netherlands and only narrowly defeating group-winners Austria with an own-goal.
As a result, the two heavyweights will meet early in the competition and one will be going home.

Slovenia have no injury concerns and have played the same side in all three matches so far, something that will likely continue in Frankfurt.
