Andros Townsend – Tottenham
According to The Mirror, Garde is looking to fight off a number of other Premier League clubs in the race to sign Tottenham’s Andros Townsend on loan.
The England international midfielder is in the same situation as Remy at Stamford Bridge, as he is currently out of favour under Mauricio Pochettino and is reportedly keen to move away from White Hart Lane in January, in order to be in contention for England’s Euro 2016 Squad.
The 24-year-old winger has been out on loan to a number of Championship and League One clubs in previous years and it is looking likely that he will Spurs again on a temporary deal, with a permanent transfer more likely in the summer months.
Townsend is a promising young English player who will flourish when he is given the chance of regular first team football. However, he has not reached his full potential at Spurs, with only 10 goals in 86 appearances.
