Kalidou Koulibaly – Napoli

A powerful central defender, few in Serie A strike fear into the heart of opposition forwards quite as much as this Napoli star, who was heavily linked with a £36 million move to Chelsea earlier this season, by TransferMarketWeb, after months of speculation since last summer.

The Senegal international has proven himself at the Champions League and domestically in Italy, having been signed by former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez at Napoli. That initial £6.5 million fee in 2014 now looks a bargain, given that a large profit in the future is a real possibility.

The Italians will not be easy to negotiate with, but there are few players on the market with the quality that Koulibaly possesses, especially given his experience at just 25 years of age. However, given his slightly erratic style on the ball at times, it could be a gamble for Klopp.
