Marcelo Bielsa is fairly universally loved at Leeds United. The Argentine has become a huge hit with the club’s fans for the way he transformed the team into promotion contenders last season.
But whilst there are plenty who love ‘El Loco’, he has also picked up some enemies in his long and illustrious career.
One of them has been talking to the press this week. Former Inter and AC Milan midfielder Guly has had some strong words to say regarding the Leeds United boss.

Bielsa was in charge of the Argentine national team during the wide-man’s national career. Guly was discussing a situation in which he was subbed on at half-time of an international friendly against the Netherlands. Then, just 36 minutes later, he was subbed off again.
As he told a radio station in Argentina, as relayed by Infobae, he was furious with the decision.
“I criticise Bielsa quite a lot when we talk about football, I am conditioned by what happened. I entered the second half and he took me out after 15 minutes, 20 minutes; I don’t know (can’t remember).”
“If I cross him, what happens? I don’t know. I respect his career and his trainer status a lot, it was an advance in the training method, but I don’t share his way of acting and exercising, on a human level, more than anything.”
Of course, this is something Leeds United fans have seen before. Tom Pearce suffered the same fate under Bielsa’s command on two occasions last season.
Pearce, who according to the Yorkshire Evening Post could be off to Barnsley this summer, was likely less than impressed by the decision either.
There is no doubt that Bielsa is a forthright figure who at the moment has the favour of the Leeds United fans.
But should any of bis players disappoint him, it is clear he is not afraid to make a tough decision.
