Former Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno reckons his Villarreal teammate Samuel Chukwueze is reminiscent of Sadio Mane.
The full-back has been settling in with the Spanish outfit following his summer move from Anfield, and has been impressed by the Nigerian winger.
Chukwueze – who has two goals and two assists in eight games in 2019/20 – is a highly rated talent and was recently nominated for the Kopa Trophy by France Football, which is essentially the Ballon d’Or for players 21 and under.

Speaking to Marca about the 20-year-old, Moreno said: “He’s very good, very good.
“He’s super incisive, fast; you never know where he’s going to go.
“He’s strong too, young, and defined. He’s a lot like Sadio Mane. I’ve seen the two in training and they’re very similar.

“He has a lot to learn because he’s very young, but he’ll become an even better player than he is [now].”
Interestingly, Chukwueze was actually linked with a move to Anfield earlier this year, with The Daily Mail reporting on the Reds apparent interest in April.
TBR’s view – Should Liverpool swoop?
Moreno is pretty well placed to make the comparison between the African pair, and that Chukwueze resembles the world-class Mane in his view perhaps indicates he’s a player really worth thinking about for Jurgen Klopp.

Of course at the moment, rapid forward Chukwueze is still very raw, but he could well develop into a fine player with the right coach.
Certainly if he joined Liverpool in the future, he’d be learning from one of the very best wingers in football in the Senegal superstar.
