Gabriel Martinelli has been one of the few shining lights at the Emirates Stadium this season.
The 18-year-old arrived in the summer from Ituano to little fanfare, but arguably so far he has made the biggest impression on a frustrated fanbase.

The South American has helped himself to eight goals in 16 appearances so far, and he has recently become a starter for Premier League matches.
His vibrant displays are providing some optimism, with fans delighted to witness his fearless approach despite his tender years.
One man who has been thoroughly impressed with Martinelli is his compatriot and former Invincible Gilberto Silva.

The ex-midfielder said of the teenage talent (ESPN Brazil): “I haven’t had a chance to meet Gabriel yet, but I’m super happy for him. Because being a young player, I see in him a boy not afraid to play, brave in his actions on the pitch.
“Even with all the pressure the club is going through, it transfers all that external pressure onto the pitch, but he’s playing as if he’s playing a game in Brazil with his friends.
“I think it’s this attitude that Arsenal need from all players. That’s the energy the club needs right now.”
TBR’s view – Martinelli approach highly refreshing
A lot of Arsenal players aren’t currently inspiring the fans.

But Martinelli is certainly doing his bit to raise spirits, and he has to be applauded for the way he’s going about things.
He has not been daunted coming to English football, and fans are rightfully excited to watch him develop into, potentially, an amazing player.
