Former Arsenal captain Terry Neill has issued a glowing report of Kieran Tierney, with the full-back enjoying a strong finish to 2019/20.
The Scotland international is set to start the club’s final Premier League game of the season against Watford at 4pm.

It has been far from plain sailing as debut seasons go for Tierney, with injury problems preventing him from hitting the ground running.
That said, since the restart, the 23-year-old has clearly shown that the Premier League is where he belongs.
Fans have finally gotten a glimpse of what the £75,000-a-week star (BBC Sport) is all about and have been massively impressed.
And ex-Gunners skipper Neill has shared that enthusiasm in an interview with The Sunday Post, and even drew a comparison with Invincible Ashley Cole.

He said: “He comes across as a level-headed young lad, very self-effacing and that’s surely down to his family and friends and the way he was brought up.
“Ashley Cole was superb. He was a great player.
“It’s obviously still early days with Kieran but, from what I’ve seen so far, I’ve been immensely impressed.”
TBR’s View – Tierney character can make anything possible
Cole is arguably the finest left-back the Premier League has ever seen, so Tierney would have to work incredibly hard to be able to hold a candle to him later in his career.

That said, it is clear that Tierney has an exceptional work ethic which could one day get him close.
It was recently claimed by Martin Keown that the tenacious Scot has been told to calm things down a bit in training, which is a testament to how the player’s mentality.
One would imagine he’ll need to win several trophies in England, but getting to Cole’s level one day is surely not out of the question.
