Former Arsenal prodigy Sanchez Watt has revealed he would like to return to the club in the future – to work with the club’s youngsters.
The 28-year-old currently plays for non-league Wealdstone, having had spells at Billericay Town and Hemel Hempstead in the last couple of years. He dropped down the leagues after being dogged by injuries.

Watt was once a highly rated young player within the Gunners’ academy, and represented the club at various youth levels.
He only made three first-team appearances. He never featured in the Premier League for Arsenal, and left permanently for Colchester United in 2013 after an initial loan.
Watt is currently working towards his coaching badges, and has been on the same UEFA B course as Patrice Evra and Ashley Cole.
Speaking to popular Arsenal website Arseblog, Watt revealed he is keen to go back to where it all started for him, and hopefully give back to some of the club’s hopes for the future.

He said: “I want to go back to Arsenal and work with the youngsters. I’ve been in there a few times but I needed to pass my course first before I could work with them properly.
“I’ve been abroad, I’ve played in the first team, I’ve been at different clubs and that. I feel that players can relate more to me. It’s a blessed place.”
TBR’s view – Watt could inspire Arsenal youth
Watt makes a good point about him perhaps being more relatable than older coaches.

It isn’t even that long ago Watt was in the Arsenal academy hoping his own dreams would come true.
It unfortunately didn’t really work out for him at the Emirates despite all the promise, but perhaps it will for him as a coach – he is certainly well placed to offer advice to young players.
