Former Everton left-back Michael Ball aims dig at Liverpool’s injury crisis

Former Everton favourite, Michael Ball, has appeared to take aim at Liverpool and manager Jurgen Klopp with a message on his Twitter account.

Ball, who played over 100 times for the Toffees in the lates 90s but struggled with injuries at times in his career, has been out of the game since retiring back in 2012.

However, he is clearly still a keen follower of the Toffees and stoked the fire with rivals Liverpool this morning with a message about both clubs’ current injury problems.

Liverpool’s problems have been well-document since Virgil van Dijk got injured, while Jurgen Klopp has been vocal on a weekly basis about the reintroduction of five subs.

However, in fairness to Klopp, he’s still guided the Reds to the top of the table after last night’s win over Spurs at Anfield.

Ball, though, has pointed out how Everton are also carrying injuries and winning, with the Toffees coming out on top against Leicester City last night with a 2-0 win in the Midlands.

Ball has a point here, this will spark some comments – TBR View

Liverpool’s injury problems, in defence anyway, are bad. But they’re still managing well and to be honest, their attacking players have hardly been affected in the main.

Everton, meanwhile, have stuttered but appear to be getting back to their best under Ancelotti.

Ball, then, just seems keen to make a point here and will, no doubt, draw the ire of a number of Liverpool fans by taking the time to post such a comment.
