Former Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has been discussing the upcoming Champions League semi-final between Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur.
The teams face off on Tuesday night in the first leg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and Mauricio Pochettino’s men will be looking to take a positive result to the Amsterdam Arena on May 8.

The Lilywhites, of course, came through one of the most entertaining games in recent history against Manchester City to make the last four.
One man who watched the 4-3 thriller was ex-Gunner van Persie, who scored six goals in 14 appearances against his old north London foe during his time in the Premier League.
He told Algemeen Dagblad last week (quoted by The Metro): “I did not see Ajax against Juventus because I was watching [Dutch comedian] Najib Amhali. I saw Manchester City against Tottenham though and that was better than a great film.
“I think Ajax are favourites in the semi-final because Tottenham play without Harry Kane.”
TBR’s view
Ajax certainly have a great chance against Spurs, who as van Persie points out will be missing their talisman Kane.
Arguably the best all-round striker in the world, Pochettino’s side are definitely weaker for his absence.

However, it isn’t just Kane’s absence that will sting – Heung-min Son, so often the man to step up in the England captain’s absence, will be suspended for the first leg having been cautioned against City at the Etihad.
That should see Lucas Moura play in attack, with big things expected from the Brazilian.
It will be a firm test for Spurs, with fearless Ajax having already dumped Real Madrid and Juventus out of the competition.
