Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou is under increasing pressure in wake of his team’s current struggles.
Spurs have lost five of their last six matches in the Premier League, leaving them a lowly 15th in the table.
This has led to questions over Ange Postecoglou’s role at Tottenham, with speculation emerging about potential replacements.
For instance, it has been reported that Tottenham could look at Edin Terzic to replace Postecoglou if he does go.
Sports scientist Anton McElhone, who worked with Postecoglou at Celtic, has now shared what “everyone that works” with the Spurs boss has realised about him.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou likened to Sir Alex Ferguson
McElhone, speaking on BBC Sport’s Monday Night Club, spoke highly of Postecoglou, saying people who work with him say he’s a “strong leader”.
Indeed, McElhone compared Postecoglou to Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson in terms of being “his own guy”.
“What’s really interesting about Ange is everyone that works with him realises this is a very strong leader, very strong manager,” he said.
“And I don’t mean this in a critical way, but he’s his own guy. He has a Sir Alex Ferguson type mentality: this is how I do it, this is how I work.
“He doesn’t have a network of staff. For example, Martin O’Neill would’ve had his two trusted lieutenants.
“He will maybe speak to people outside of the club, but he is the manager, he is the boss, he will make the decisions.
“I think if you look at his career from Australia, Japan, every club that he has been to, he does produce. But again, it’s never an easy ride.”
Will Postecoglou remain at Tottenham?
Tottenham are insisting that Postecoglou remains the man for the job in North London, sources told TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey last week.
As things stand, Spurs are planning to continue to back the 59-year-old and believe he can turn things around in the capital.
Postecoglou certainly does have an excuse in that he’s working with an incredibly depleted squad right now.
Tottenham have a horrific injury crisis on their hands right now, which includes their first-choice goalkeeper and first-choice centre-backs.
| Injured Tottenham players | Injury |
| Guglielmo Vicario | Foot injury |
| Dominic Solanke | Knee injury |
| Brennan Johnson | Calf injury |
| Micky van de Ven | Hamstring injury |
| Cristian Romero | Thigh injury |
| Wilson Odobert | Hamstring injury |
| Rodrigo Bentancur | Head injury |
| Destiny Udogie | Hamstring injury |
| Timo Werner | Hamstring injury |
Considering how Manchester City have struggled for large parts of the season without Rodri, and Arsenal are now struggling without Bukayo Saka, injuries certainly play a big part in loss of form.
