Celtic striker Vakoun Issouf Bayo wants to feature for the first-team next season, in a striker partnership with Odsonne Edouard.
The Ivorian was signed in January from Dunajská Streda whilst Brendan Rodgers was still in charge.

He never got the chance to play under the Irishman, and was handed his debut by Neil Lennon – a one-minute cameo against Kilmarnock in the league.
Aside from that, he made the bench a couple of times but was largely with the U23s.
By his own admission, Bayo has had a tough first six months at the club, but the 22-year-old is eyeing a more regular role for the first-team in 2019/20. In particular, he is looking forward to working with Hoops striker Odsonne Edouard.

He said, as quoted by The Daily Record: “Edouard is a fantastic player. I have watched him closely since I came here and I hope that I am able to help him and the team.
“Odsonne likes the ball to feet, he likes to run, so we have different styles. I am a finisher and I think we can be a good combination.”
TBR’s view
It feels as though Bayo has a point to prove.
He arrived with something of a big reputation having scored 18 goals for Streda.

He got unlucky with the hamstring injury that ended his season early – perhaps Lennon was thinking about using him once the league had been wrapped up.
Bayo will really have to make the most of any chances Lennon gives him in 2019/20, as Edouard tends to play as the lone striker – a role he very much suits.
