‘Forget this guy’: Arsenal fans change tact on Houssem Aouar amid Madrid and Barcelona talk

Arsenal fans have been discussing the the emerging situation on summer target Houssem Aouar, amid reports he could be keen on a move to Madrid or Barcelona.

ESPN claims the Frenchman was somewhat surprised at the lack of push Arsenal put in for him, and he is now said to be more open to the idea of Madrid or Barca making a move.

It is claimed the Gunners put in a bid of around £31m for the Lyon star, someway short of the apparent £50m the French club want if they’re to even consider a sale.

However, looking at how some Arsenal fans have been reacting on Twitter, it seems that the emergence of Emile Smith-Rowe and the summer addition of Thomas Partey seems to have changed supporters’ minds on signing Aouar.

Once a player who many Gunners fans wanted above all else, it seems some fans think the club should simply move on now.
