After signing his first professional contract with Tottenham Hotspur, Luca Williams-Barnett has been speaking about why he loves the club.
On Thursday afternoon, Tottenham Hotspur announced the exciting news that Williams-Barnett had agreed to sign his first pro deal with the club.
Williams-Barnett is considered a “top” prospect by Tottenham and England, so locking him down to a pro deal is great news for the club.
During Tottenham’s EFL Cup clash with Doncaster Rovers last week, Williams-Barnett made his debut for the club, despite only being 16.
On October 1, the teenager turned 17, allowing him to finally sign a pro deal, and he has now named the two Spurs players who convinced him to support the club.

Luca Williams-Barnett explains why he supports Tottenham
Luca Williams-Barnett has revealed that he is a Tottenham supporter because of David Ginola and Paul Gascoigne.
It’s quite a shock to hear him name Ginola and Gascoigne as his two idols, given that both players had retired well before he was even born.
Williams-Barnett was full of admiration for Gascoigne, revealing that his swagger on the pitch to ‘do what he wanted’ was something he loved about the former midfielder.
When asked why he is a Spurs fan, Williams-Barnett told the club’s media team: “Paul Gascoigne, he just did what he wanted; that’s what I like about him. You can’t tackle him. I also like Ginola; they are probably the two.”
The 17-year-old is making real waves for the academy, having produced six goals and four assists in eight matches for the Under-21s.
His performances are sure to earn him more first-team opportunities as he continues to catch the eye of Thomas Frank.
Luca Williams-Barnett on what Brennan Johnson told him during his Tottenham debut
Williams-Barnett has revealed that Brennan Johnson gave him big encouragement during his debut for Tottenham against Doncaster.
The teenager explained how the Spurs winger told him to just keep trying to run at the defence, just like he does for the Under-21s team.
“When I ran on the pitch, I had Brennan say, Let’s go!’, all of this. When I got on the ball, I just wanted to drive with it.
“When he gave me that hug, he was just telling me, ‘Get at them, you’ll win every time’ I was like, ‘OK!’. When the whole team came over, they were like, ‘Get on the ball, keep going!'”
The youngster added that Pedro Porro is also very supportive of him: “Pedro Porro is always coming over to give me a hug. He’s always laughing.”
