Christian Eriksen’s return to action has been one of the stories of the Premier League season and he has been sensational for Brentford.

That has raised the prospect of a return to Tottenham and he is only on a six-month contract in west London.

Antonio Conte managed Eriksen at Inter, and has spoken to Sky Sports about the prospect of bringing the Dane back to Spurs next season.

When asked if he wanted to bring Eriksen back, Conte said: “Yeah, for sure.

“To work again with Christian is a fantastic opportunity, I enjoyed the time we spent together despite the first time he did not play regularly with me.

“But when I understand what I wanted with him, he played and we won the title together in Italy. When you have this player, great player, good man, every coach would like to work with them.”

Hailed as ‘amazing’ by Mauricio Pochettino, Eriksen racked up 69 goals and 90 assists in 305 appearances for Tottenham.

He is still loved by the fans, and it would add some much-needed creativity to the Spurs midfield if he came back to the club.

It is incredible that he is back playing football, let alone at the level he is at now and his next move in the summer will be very interesting indeed.
