'For sure': Ange Postecoglou makes definitive Celtic transfer claim
Celtic have shown no signs of standing still this summer as the club have brought in seven new signings.
The Hoops regained the Scottish Championship last season as they beat their bitter rivals Rangers to the title and boss Ange Postecoglou has been adding strength in depth to his squad.
But Celtic are not done in the transfer market just yet as Postecoglou told Sky Sports News today that there will be more business in the coming weeks.
The Scottish champions have already added quality to their squad as they have brought in players like Cameron-Carter Vickers on a permanent basis after a successful loan spell last season.
Postecoglou makes Celtic transfer claim
“The process is ongoing. There’s still some weeks left in the window and there will be comings and goings between now and then, for sure,” he said.
“That will continue to work in the background, knowing full well that our focus is the league and what’s ahead of us.
“But we will still be working to make sure that by the time the window shuts, if there’s opportunities for us to get stronger, we’ll take them.”
Postecoglou will be hoping for a better start to the season
The Celtic boss and his team are gearing up for a return to Champions League football and are aiming to retain the Scottish title.
The Hoops have made some smart signings already this summer as they’ve added the talented winger Jota from Benfica, as well as a 21-year-old defensive prospect in Alexandro Bernabei.
But as the Australian boss Postecoglou has said, the club are still working behind the scenes to further bolster his squad.
Celtic kick off their Scottish Championship campaign against Aberdeen this Sunday at Celtic Park. And Postecoglou will be hoping to get off to a better start than they did last season as his side fell to a 2-1 defeat against Hearts on the opening day.
