For the second summer in a row, Everton midfielder Beni Baningime has seen a potential loan move away from the club fall through.
The central midfielder once looked like being a future Everton first-team star. Indeed, Sam Allardyce in particular appeared to be a fan of the combative midfielder during his tenure as Everton boss. As quoted by the Liverpool ECHO in April 2018, ‘Big Sam’ claimed Baningime was showing ‘the appetite’ to be a first-team regular and was ‘capable of playing’ at Premier League level.
However, he slipped down the pecking order at Goodison Park and endured a tough loan spell at Wigan Athletic before a potential move to Denmark last summer looked a perfect opportunity to revive his career.

As reported by the Liverpool ECHO, potential moves to both Brondby and Silkeborg on loan, unfortunately, broke down at the last minute.
This week, it seemed he was set to finally get some regular playing time away from Finch Farm. Blackpool were all set to bring the 21-year-old in for the upcoming League One season. However, as reported by the ECHO, that deal has also collapsed.
What next for Baningime?
It seems imperative that the DR Congo born midfielder gets away on loan next season. He remains under contract at Everton until 2022, after being handed a long-term deal by Allardyce in 2018 – just two weeks before the former England manager got the boot.
Since then it has been a struggle for the youngster, whose long-term future at Everton will be in doubt should he not excel with first-team football elsewhere.
Hopefully, the next loan move that gets lined up can go through, as Baningime still has plenty of time to prove himself worthy of another Everton first-team chance.
