Ange Postecoglou has completely transformed Tottenham.
The Australian has done a fantastic job with the north London club, and one player who has really benefitted from the new manager’s arrival at Tottenham is Heung-Min Son.
The South Korean has really flourished in his newfound striker role, and that probably shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.
Speaking on TNT Sports, Postecoglou has been discussing Son, and he says that he’s a player who he’s admired for a long time, claiming that he followed him for a long time since before he even became the Tottenham manager.

Postecoglou has tracked Son for a long time
The Tottenham boss spoke about the £22m forward.
“I’ve had a long history with Sonny, not directly, but I have followed him – playing for Korea, I was working in Asia,” Postecoglou said.
“I have felt he had this ability, an innate ability to play in the central area. His a good finisher, his movement is excellent and with the leadership as well. I knew it wouldn’t weigh heavily on him because of the character he is. That was my best case scenario.”
Perfect match
Son seems to have found something of a footballing soulmate in the shape of Postecoglou.
The South Korean perfectly fits Postecoglou’s style. He’s fantastic at getting in behind, he’s an amazing finisher, and he works as hard as a Postecoglou striker needs to.
Tottenham easily could’ve hit something of a scoring slump after selling Harry Kane to Bayern Munich in the summer, but Son has been able to fill that void with ease this season.
Postecoglou has struck gold with the striker this season, and after years of watching the attacker starring for South Korea, he knew exactly how to get the most out of the striker after arriving in north London.
