FM16: The top five hidden gems to sign for under £5million

1) Carlos – Atletico Mineiro (£2-4 million)

This man is my favourite FM16 player under £5 million and there was absolutely no doubt he would be first. I have tried to sign him many times after I had my immense success with him on FM15 at Newcastle.

Carlos was signed for £15 million in my second season with the Magpies and absolutely killed it. He helped us to two straight Champions League trophies as well as a few domestic honours too.

Not only did he do that but he also kept Kingsley Coman from starting in my team as well. For that reason alone, I would tell you to sign him up as soon as possible.

He may not look anything special from the stats but his good physical attributes pave the way for you to mould your perfect attacker. I would personally use him on the left hand side as an inside forward support so he can have more of an influence on the game as a whole.

There should be no work permit issues with Carlos either so he can come straight into your side. My advice would be to use him as a backup for the first half of the season whilst he adapts and then let him loose!
