Arsenal have started well in the Premier League this season, but, at the same time, the Gunners have had some issues.
Indeed, the north London club aren’t really clicking in the say they were last season, and that’s mainly down to their midfield.
Martin Odegaard hasn’t been as good as we’ve grown to expect him to be, while Kai Havertz has been utterly bemusing as a footballer this season.
So, what’s the solution? Well, Odegaard needs to rediscover his form, and Arsenal’s best bet for Havertz may well be to take him out of the team.
Speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, Izzy Christiansen has been discussing what Mikel Arteta could do with his midfield, and she reckons that the Spaniard could be flirting with the idea of moving Declan Rice further forwards.

Rice could move further forwards
Christiansen shared her idea of how to solve Arsenal’s midfield issues.
“I think he’s flirted with the idea of playing Rice a little bit higher now and bringing Jorginho in to drop Havertz when Odegaard is back but it goes to show last season that Odegaard carried that team, Saka was exceptional, but when moves start and finish, Odegaard is always at the heart of it,” Christiansen said.
When Partey is back
This is a move that would make a lot of sense, but only when Thomas Partey is back.
As much as we like Jorginho, he really isn’t suited to that defensive midfield role these days, he’s not physically imposing enough,.
Meanwhile, Partey thrives in that role, and his return to the team could allow Rice to move into what we’ve grown to know as the Granit Xhaka role in this Arsenal team.
Unfortunately, we don’t know when Partey will be back from injury, but once he is, a midfield reshuffle would make a lot of sense.
