Five players that Liverpool need to sign this summer
Only a year ago, Liverpool finished but a Steven Gerrard slip away from securing their first top-flight title since 1990. They pushed rivals Manchester City all the way, finishing only two points behind and doing so while indulging in an exciting and free flowing brand of football which saw the likes of Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling scoring for fun.
Cut to a year later however, and the red half of Merseyside have finished this season with 20 points less than the 84 point total that nearly brought them glory in 2014, and with a manager, in Brendan Rodgers, who has found himself under significant in recent weeks.
The failure to replace star man Luis Suarez following his transfer to FC Barcelona last summer, combined with multiple injuries and questionable dealings in the transfer market are amongst the myriad of reasons why the club have failed to live up to the jubilation of the previous campaign.
There are many issues the Reds will have to resolve in order to reverse their fall from 2nd place last season to 6th this year but here at The Boot Room, we consider five possible signings who could make that reversal a reality.
